Visit to Truro Cathedral

On Wednesday 28th March Perran and Porth classes visited Truro. Linked to our topic this term of 'housing' and 'materials' we visited the Cathedral and Shelterbox. At Shelterbox we learnt what it was like for children who don't have homes like we do. We explored the different kinds of shelter that the charity provides and even had a go at packing a Shelterbox. At Truro Cathedral we looked at various parts of a church and discussed the materials by which they were made. The children were commended by the Cathedral staff for their exemplary behaviour. Well done Perran! A big thank you to all our parent helpers on the day too, we couldn't have done it without you.
